After looking at my Audubon tree field guide my best guess is “Tupelo Gum.” I definitely know it not fir or some other form of conifer by leaves still attached to that small branch. Not sure why by cannot see blackberry picture on photobucket, but didn’t think it was that. Gents am comfortiable not knowing the species of wood am dealing wih.
