Or a hacksaw, or a reciprocating saw, or a metal cutting disc in a dremel…

I’m not sure I’d want to cut metal on a bench grinder, even if it’s just bar stock. Let us know how you make out if you do try it.

PS: That grinder might not be fast enough… depending on the size of the grinding disc, they typically run somewhere between 5000-12000 rpm.
