That second board (the larger piece in the photo) looks more like chestnut than oak. Is it relatively light weight? Like poplar? Or is it heavy and dense? Chestnut is relatively light compared to oak. Chestnut is common in older barns…

Naw, it’s oak. Heavy as a brick, planes up nicely. Its hard to tell with the phone camera. I’ve split enough oak to know it well.
