Has anyone else done business with sharkguard (leeway workshop llc) lately? I ordered a riving knife retrofit for my old delta saw, and paid for it. I have not received it, and I have written 3 emails asking what is up. I have received no communication from Lee. It seemed he had good reviews, yet I cannot get any info all of a sudden. Anyone here know what;s up?
It could be health issues but, generally for any of his products it can be up to a 2 month wait for the order. It usually says it on his website as many of his things are made to order.
I was lucky that I got mine within the same week but he still gave me that disclaimer to a long delivery time.
When I purchased my Sharkguard, I fully expected a month or 2 before it appeared. I guess I was lucky like AZWoody where I got mine in a week. I bet he is using my purchase money on his Sharkguard yacht in the Bahamas for a vacation Be patient…well worth the wait for a great product.
I waited the 6 wks, and I got an email from him that my order was ready & to pay for it. I did. Now 2 wks later I have not received the order, nor can I reach him. I have emailed 3 times and no response from him.
Lee is pretty much a one person operation, no one sitting at the computer or phone to reply immediately. Still, he should have replied in some way by now. He is an outstanding guy so I have no doubt this will be resolved, but you might try giving him a call. (251) 947-4658 I've bought 2 shark guards form over the years and had no problems.
I recently purchased two units from him. He told me there was going to be a wait of 6 to 7 weeks before they were ready and I would not be charged until they were close delivery. I got an email in approximately 7 weeks that they were almost ready and he sent an invoice. The units were shipped approximately 2 weeks after payment. I found Lee to be very easy to work with, and highly recommend the Shark Guard.
Gripbd: thanks for that info..I had no idea shipping would be 2 wks after payment. When he wrote me & told me the order was ready, and to send him $$, that it would go out that week. Well it has been 2 wks since then, so maybe it will arrive afterr the holiday. hmmmm
Sorry guys.
I haven't been in the best health this past week. I am working on catching up on orders and emails.
There is always a lead time on anything though unless we just happen to have it in stock.
That is pretty rare. We just work down our production list as fast as we can.
We are a small Family business with 2.5 of us working here making these product.
With the demand we do have, it has always had a leadtime though. We increase production often, but demand increases more.
I promise we will get to everyone as quickly as possible.
Thanks.
Lee
