Fridge – Was going to put this in the forum post, but didn’t want to bog things down, so I will put it here. To answer your question – I’ve starting doing a lot of different type of work that I didn’t do before. I used to be using planes and chisels almost exclusively in my work. My set shown above worked great for that. I have since starting doing a lot more fringe type of work where I end up using drawknives, gouges, spokeshaves, axes, scorps, etc. A lot of green woodworking tools that are weirder shapes. These tools, especially small curved tools, hollow out water stones way faster than flat tools. The DMT Duosharp also excels more at flat tools than curved tools because of the little swarf ejecting circles on the surface. I am now switching over to continuous diamond stones for all of my grits, with a strop at the end.
