I learned to sharpen, cut mortises by hand, plane, etc. by reading/watching. The reason I was thinking of a class with a big-time teacher is because I think I know enough that I’d be bored in a standard intro class. I wanted a Paul Sellers type to see me use the tools and give me the subtle direction that could help me master the tools.

That being said, Maybe I should take the iPad into the shop and do more close work with some videos.
