I’ve done a few barn doors with both “box track” and “flat track”

For residential applications, I think flat track is nicer. We buy from Crown Industrial but there are a lot of vendors for flat track hardware.

There is typically an “anti-jumping” system—-usually just a block or spacer that prevents the door from jumping the track—- removable for removing the door.
