I ran 4” PVC everywhere and it worked great, however i used the 4” Drain PVC because its lighter, less expensive and MUCH easier to work with than Schedule 40. Using either the actual pipe, or a coupling pretty much all of my black fittings work perfectly without having to change their size. However if you need to use the boiling method it really easy to do. Also the flex hose will fit directly onto the 4” PVC drain pipe.

I also used a

“4 in. PVC DWV Soil Pipe Adapter” from home Depot

This fit the SDD input fitting exactly and adapted to the 4” PVC that I used in the shop. You can actually see it in the pictures I posted.
