I’m not familiar with that brand, but am familiar with the saw. It’s one of many manufactured by Mao Shan in Taiwan through the 80’s and early 90’s. Other brand names of the same saw are PM, Jet, Grizzly, Ohio Forge, AFF, Bridgewood, Omega, Union, Mao Shan, Allied, and likely many others. They varied in wing style, fence, blade guards, and base, but the main guts and motors were nearly identical. Basically a copy of the American made Delta of the time. $225 is a tad steep IMO for one with that fence, but are otherwise a very serviceable saw. I’d offer closer to $150-$175. With a decent blade and proper setup, it should be fine if it’s functioning properly. -- Happiness is like wetting your pants...everyone can see it, but only you can feel the warmth.... |
