We purchased a small mini-laser for our shop to test. We found out that the unit had only a 1.5”x1.5” working surface and the low milliwatts did not do the job we expected. After further investigation we found a unit with 45 watts, a variety of lenses and a 12”x20” bed that works well for us. It engraves (raster) and cuts (vector) wood up to 1/4” thick.

The biggest challenge for us was learning how to use the software.
