I ve never stabilized any large pieces of green burl wood but I have used thinned out CA and allowed it to soak in good from all surfaces and cure for a day. Never had any problems with it Cooking, soaking for a week then cooking again sound like you need to go ahead and build a vacuum bag set up.

What did you thin the CA glue with? Any problems with darkening the wood?
