I would imagine if would be like comparing the saw stop pcs to the industrial.
.Both are from saw stop and are cabinet saws but that is basically where the similarities end.

The pm 1000 is a 1 3/4 HP saw only so the saw is built around that. The pm 2000 is a 3hp or a 5 HP saw if I’m not mistaken. It was never designed for the smaller motor. So the 2000 is built for the larger motor. That means heavier cast iron parts, larger castings, maybe a large/heavier table. In other words, the saw is built to handle the 5hp motor. Not to mention, im sure the 2000 is made for a more extreme service duty, say in a production shop running 40 hours a week.
Whereas the 1000 is for lighter duty like a heavy duty hobbiest or light production.
I’m surea look at the specs will show obvious differences between the two.
