Thanks guys for all the feed back. I recieved my new start capacitor from grizzly this week and installed it. I pluged the planer in, and it started right up. I just want to say that I also purchased an 8’’ jointer from grizzly recently, and both the planer and jointer are pretty awesome machines, I guess after using bench top machines for a while now, and then switching to the large floor models makes a big, and noticeable difference in performance. I wasn’t unhappy with the bench top planer though, in fact I consider it to be the best bench model available ( the DeWalt 735 ), I just wanted a little more milling capacity and of course spiral cutter heads on the grizzlys , which do a beautiful job.
