I have a Dewalt 735 and like it very much. I’ve found it to be a very useful machine.

FYI, the Dewalt 735 has a powerful built in blower. I connect mine directly to a dust collector bag via 4” flexible hose. I use q quick connect on it, so I can quickly unsnap the bag for emptying and storage. It works very well. The bag I got is quite large at around 50 gal.

This setup works very well, no vacuum is needed.

Keep in mind the Dewalt 735 is portable, but just barely. It weighs around 90 lbs. So yeah, it’s not a floor standing planer weighing hundreds of pounds, but it’s not something you just throw under the workbench when not in use. I built a rolling storage cabinet for mine.
