For what it’s worth, no one at Home Depot will have any clue about the planers. You could take it back to return if needed there, however.

I went with a Dewalt 735. It’s the best of the “portable” lunchbox planers. I originally tried the Rigid R4331, but killed 2 in 2 weeks (the second didn’t make it an hour). Switched to the Dewalt and have had no problems since.

No experience with the Grizzly planer, however.
