I recently posted about the Lignum Vitae woodworking show in Calgary, on now. It is a juried event put on by the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. At the end all the items will go on auction with half the proceeds going to a scholarship fund to support woodworking education.
This is a video taken by the son of the organizer showing some of the pieces.
Fellow LJ Roman (Bootman) Hrytsak and I are both represented in the show.
Enjoy the video. There are some very cool pieces entered.
It should be interesting to see what the final total towards the scholarship fund will be. Your craftsmanship should really contribute to their success. Hope that you also do well in the awards.
Gorgeous work. Sure hope they bring the prices they deserve.
That video could have been a lot longer. I'd never tire of watching it.
Thanks for sharing it with us, Paul.
Incredible work! Now I have the faith I can make four walking canes out of the piece of LV (2×2x40) I have been holding for a few years now. Thank you, Paul.
I agree those are some gorgeous pieces of art. I sure would like to see a longer version of that video with more time on each piece. Talk about a teaser. Thanks for sharing with us Paul. Let us know the final judging and $$ raised.
