If your cabs are typical tract home cabs, the carcasses are probably veneered plywood. If you’ve avoided any sand thrus on them, you’re way ahead of most of us – or you really haven’t sanded down to wood.

Doors and drawer fronts are usually solid wood and are much easier to handle.

If you think that you’re ready, give your plan a try in an unobtrusive place. If you like what you get, go for it. If you (or she) don’t like it, go for Plan B. – lol
