Just received my new no so shiny DW735 planer. I got it as claimed factory refurbished. My understanding is that refurbished means someone tried it and did not like it.
However judging by the wear state of the table it looks like the one I received went through some fair amount of wood. At the very edge of the table it looks very worn.
If you own this planer can you approximately evaluate how worn out it is ?
I own one (3 months) and have put a few hundred board feet through it. Mine does not show that much wear, best I can tell from your pic? There are a few minor marks down the length of the feed table just not near as many as yours. And the very edge is starting to dull, again not nearly that much. So I can say its had more than lets say 300 board feet ran through it? But I know there are a few people on here that own those and can give you a better idea. I'm curious as well.
Thanks jwm.
Fridge i do not care about the table scratches, however there are other things that come with it. Buying a newer car with high miles on it is not ghat good of a deal. I guess the planer goes back, moreover a new one is not that much more expensive.
Jose, its a good planer, does it work if not take it back, I mean I got mine new for 399.99 dollar's if yours doesn't work proper send it back.do not listen to the village dumbass he has valid technical points but he is an ass hole with no input of value.
As F4 Phantom back seater, weapons control and Co Pilot, shot down, and every orifice sown up, and a vice clamp on my penis then a a water hose stuck down my throat, I guess I know what an A hole is.
Then time at the Hanio Hilton, you think you felt pain, be hung from your arms till your shoulders are dislocated, while whipping your feet raw.
Mr. if that is true my hats off and I will do what ever it takes to show my honest respect, but I know vets and they never ask for respect and tell no one of what they been through youre really starting to piss me off , my father was a Vietnam vet and grandpa served in the south pacific. you aint dealing with a moron. and i notice you post no proff of that,, put youre bull dog mouth where youre pet poodle ass is hoooh rahhhhhh
Anything "factory refubished" that I've bought looked like brand new. I'm surprised they didn't replace that table. Maybe the factory that did the refurb was NOT Dewalt.
If you bought it through CPO Outlet/Factory Authorized Outlet (or similar), the factory warranty still applies. FAO/CPO will take it back/replace it if you wish. The Dewalt Service center was very helpful in my case, so check them out if you'd like.
