You want to stay clear of the company that invented the tool you are looking to buy? I dont know if there is a better sliding miter saw for the money than the c12rsh. the new replacement for it is sadly not near as good. If accuracy is you overall goal buy the bosch or hitachi. You have to know who makes a good tool, I have been buying almost exclusively but i wouldn t buy their sliding miters. just dont buy a dewalt.

I ve heard dewalts are so mass produced that you re more prone to getting a bad saw than other brands. The only reason I mention staying clear of hitachi is from some bad reviews I ve heard from trusted sources. However, I personally have no experience so I guess I shouldn t rule them out. Their saws are significantly cheaper than the bosch and makita I m looking at.

I would agree on the DeWalt. The first one I had was the 12” slider and I could never get it to stay in square. I would do all the steps and if you check the blade, it would show it’s square but as soon as you cut, the cut was far off.

I started researching and found many other reviews with the same issue.
