A trailer makes sense, but it’s not in my future. I can get an extender. the ones that are like cages would only extend the bed to 7.5’, so not really helpful for my use. I can put a hitch platform on, but I’m thinking that with ratcheting tie-downs on the 7.5’ bed (with tailgate down), I might be in good shape.

I use a 12 trailer to do most of my hauling. It has steel sides, so there is no worry about losing a load. Once in a while a pickup would be handy, but most of the loads I haul wouldn t fit in a pickup. The trailer has the added benefit of a ramp for hauling stationary tools, or anything with wheels.

Any folding bed extenders available for your truck?
