I know for certain it is not Goncalo Alves (aka Tigerwood). I wood like to know what it is, tho. Could not positively match it with anything at Wood Database.

I have some wood that looks identical to what you have. Heavier than oak. Has a strong scent (not like flowers) when worked. Dust from this wood is very fine, finer than dust from other woods when cut on the same tool with the same blade. I have cut a bunch of it for a project last December.

I have found a carload of this wood in the trash. Leftovers from a floor install. Tigerwood likewise. All T&G, prefinished, some with floor nails (install oopses?)
