The glue will keep it solid and the pocket screws held it in place while the glue set. But the glue has very little elasticity and if you rack the legs past a certain point you probably will “pop” the glue and it will go back to racking again.

I suspect that some time in the future you will have to revisit this. As a retrofit, I think dowels will be the easiest. You will only have to remove 2 of the 4 skirts if you decide to dowel. The other two can be drilled in place.
