I had that exact saw (mine was a 2001) with a 52” Unifence. My memory is fuzzy (or MIA), but I could have sworn the 32” (Unifence) was available….I didn’t consider the Bies. In any case, as Brad indicated it’s simply a shinier coat of paint that makes it a Platinum Edition. There was a time when Delta thought introducing a new model of tool was changing the color and accessories included. I also had the Excalibur on mine. I sold the saw (kept the Excalibur) about 2 years ago for $900, though mine had a lot of extras….which altogether may have been worth what the Excalibur is. I think it’s a great price, and you would do well to buy it.
