Jim, first of all it really depends on quality of the boards….for woodworkers…nice figuring adds to the price. Ken is correct as far as CA goes….expensive out here…..and getting more as the cost to ship has risen through the roof.

You can get a great idea of prices by checking on Ebay, Woodplanet, Woodfinder….etc. The price will fluctuate a bit based on location (the areas where the trees are is typically cheaper)...but most companies will charge around the same price for similar grades. That is only the cost for the wood though…the big cost is in shipping….wood is heavy and the size and shape that it has to ship is not conducive with using a lower cost delivery company.
