You’ll want to make sure that the slats (aka stickers) are aligned with one another and also that there is some weight on them to help prevent warping as they dry. If the stack is tall enough, the weight might not be necessary but a cinder block works pretty well. You want the stickers to all be the same thickness. Also, don’t forget to make sure that bottom boards is up off the ground or floor.

If they have mildew or black mold on them, you may want to treat them to kill the mold or just remove the most badly infected pieces and discard. Black mold is nasty stuff.
