I don’t own one, but I use one in the shop I teach at. 1) N/A, but buying it only hurts once, in the wallet. And its not that much more money, if any, than other nice cabinet saws. 2) No, No. Hope this helps. Edit: Also, even without the safety mechanism, the saw is a dream to use, both the commercial, and the professional models. I’ve used them both.
