My expectation would be that the acrylic piece will not stick if turned together with only glue. I don t fully understand your reply or why a mortise and tenon wouldn t work or what is pegged so I could be misunderstanding. I ve used tenons in spindles the size of a pencil.

Thank you Rick. I’m not having a problem gluing the two materials together except for where it’s attached.

So are you saying that unless a have a more secure connection,turning might be pointless because it’s not strong enough?

So if this connection IS strong enough, it is possibly to turn the two together?
