BDFT is calculated AS IF things were really 1, 2, 3, 4, etc. 4//4 = 1… 8/4 = 2 for BDFT calculations…

Building wise, figure the real dimensions… not the make believe ones… LOL Right?

If you rip’em using a band saw, you will not wast 1/8” per cut… You must figure kerf size and get the boards wide enough to give you the least amount of waste. If using a 1//8” kerf, figure 1/4 for cleanup,,, so 3.25” strips is what you should figure on… 6.5”(2), 9.75(3), 13”(4) widths…
