The New Oliver saws are made in Taiwan and I would expect them to have the same issues as any of the new cabinet saws. Poor customer support, parts availability etc. I have an OLD original Oliver that is currently being restored and the info you have regarding Rich Fink is correct. I have purchased parts from hom for the older Oliver machines, he does not and will not be affiliated with the new Oliver machines. The new machines are not anywhere close to the old stuff and never will be. I have seen the machines up close and was very disappointed. If it is going to carry the Oliver name it needs to be an Oliver, not a taiwanese knock-off. As for the comparison of Oliver to Grizzly, I would think its a toss up. I would look for an older Oliver, pre 60’s, and restore it. I love my 232 and would not rade it for the world. I did sell an old unisaw to make room for my 232 and would do it again in a minute.
