Those HF ones are only 5/16"x1/8", and you only get 10 for $2.99. You can find them online at places like Amazon for much cheaper. I picked up a pack of 100 1/4" ones for $6.93 with free shipping on Amazon, from Applied Magnets. Larger ones will obviously be more expensive though.
I buy from applied magnets, cheapest I've found and good quality, the only thing I hate about them is how they charge almost $20 for shipping when the package is the size of a small flat rate box.
I second Redoak. I've bought about a hundred magnets from KJ Magnets. The last purchase included a few nearly one hundred pound pull magnets I use to hold my control buttons for my dust collectors, which I mounted on the end of long cords, to the machine I'm using or the collector itself. Then there's the poor man's meteorite detector, shown in the picture, supporting itself by its magnet on the top of my table saw.
I use some of these to mount things to my machines.
