The important question is always what are you going to use it for. I have a 15” standard blade and a DW735. The issue with the 15” is that it has a serrated infeed roller which leaves marks unless you take off a certain amount. How much is required depends on the setting of the infeed roller.

I use my 15” to rough plane wood close to size. But I use the DeWalt when I want to get to a very tight thickness.

I would love to have the Byrd head but do not plane enough wood or wood with difficult grain to justify the expense. There are other tools for me that have higher priority.
