I would not be afraid of using a grizzly cutterhead over the shelix model.
One magazine rated it better, but there have been other reviews that showed no difference between the cutterheads.
Even if costs are the same, to upgrade to the shelix, don’t forget to factor in the labor and for some people, the headache I have read about when changing out cutterheads.

I have a grizzly planer with the spiral cutterhead and it leaves the cut smooth enough, sanding is almost optional.

I am looking at their 12” jointer with the spiral head. Just not sure if I want the longer bed or the shorter.
