I’m in the same boat. If you find something let me know. Jointers in that size are hard to come by used here too. A number of 6”, a few 12s and even some 16s, but haven’t seen an 8” in a long time.

The only other ones out there near $1k are the shopfox, which is really a grizzly in an off white paint. I have also been looking at the Jet 8”, mainly because it is shorter (66” vs 76”) and that will work MUCH better in my shop. But it is $1400, shipping included. I’m hoping it goes on sale around Fathers day or something. If I could get it 15% off like they have some of their tool sales it is only about $150 more than the Grizzly parallelogram model with shipping.
