I second WhittleMeThis’s comment. I got a Grizzly G0555 14” bandsaw for xmas after much research on them and couldn’t be happier. It’s got a 1hp motor, bearing guides, quick tension release, a decent fence, and a 6” resaw capacity. And for another $70 I got the riser block and bumped it up to a 12” resaw capacity. I think it runs about $400 plus shipping. It was the best bang for your buck that I found of all the brands.
