Hi Lynden,

Yeah, I had really considered the Grizzly G0555 line as it has really really good reviews for the low-to-mid end (price wise) 14” band saws. But for me it was the all-around middle of the road option, in price and features. Specs are closer to the Craftsman (HP and resaw), though I’m sure the quality is far superior on the Grizzly. Not quite as much as the Rikon 10-325 was, but the specs (horsepower and resaw capacity) are lower. If I added the riser block to the Grizzly, I’m looking at about the same price as the Rikon 10-325 right now.

The general idea I got from my research is that there are plenty of people happy with any of the 3 saws, but they all have their quirks, varying levels of tweaking during the initial setup, and personal tolerance for what’s acceptable with the flaws. Which is great for them, except never having owned a band saw, I don’t know what my preferences are yet.

I find myself now re-reading all the LJ reviews on the G0555 and 10-325 :)
