I have Porter Cable and Bostitch nail guns. They have never failed me. But I do oil them before each use (although the Bostitch claims no oil is required). I do not use them all day (they are for woodworking, not being used for work), so they usage is pretty light when I do use them. I shy away from Harbor Freight and in general really inexpensive store brands. I just do not trust a highly mechanical tool like an air nailer, when I see prices in the $20 range.

Basically all the tools you buy are from China, but some brands are clearly better built, and the price should reflect that. It is rare to find a Japanese tool anymore, unless it is a hand tool like saws, files, rasps, etc. And you definitely know when you run across a European tool. I have a Festool track saw and paid dearly for it. And no regrets whatsoever. It is an absolute joy to use.
