Rockler has an inexpensive jig meant for 3/4” faceframe work for about $10. A good modification to it is to replace the plastic fence/reference surface with something sturdier (cut out some holes to see reference lines on your work) and add sandpaper for grip. And use two clamps to keep it from shifting.
