Long Beach, CA
United States

My shop is just a 2 car garage in a suburban So cal residential neighborhood. On the plus side I am just getting to the end of a 3 month renovation, so I should soon be better organized. Though I don’t have to share my space with any vehicles, it is still very small and cramped. The notion of different work station layouts was quickly nixed from my renovation plans. In my garage, the current work station is where ever I can find room to set up the needed tool.
On the less than positive side (there is no negative involved in having any work space to call your own)- I over did the organization of my shop. As I near the end of my renovation, I’m finding I tried to make an assigned space for every item, only to discover a huge pile of miscellaneous, unassigned “Stuff” that I had completely left out of my plans.
As you may have guessed, I do this for fun, a hobby. I’m not an amateur by any means though. I’m fortunate enough to make what I want when I want to and what I don’t sell, I give as gifts. This cycle has always provided me with more customers and requests than I can usually fulfill.
I am posting a few photos but they are of my work in progress and not my finished shop.

Your wall benches are stunning. They look like they’re out of a classic library. I would be hesitant to hammer or saw anything anywhere near them!
