Retired and relocated from NY to NC [Thank God we got out ] Have always been interested in woodworking. My skills are extreme novice. Currently I am attempting my hand at wood carving, specifically, Chip and Relief carving.
Have started making spoons and useful items from the Staves of old Oak Wine Barrels.

Welcome. You have found the right place for woodworking. A great group of people willing to help. Looking forward to see your projects and comments. Work safe in the shop and don’t forget to use pushsticks.

Thanks to all, the site is terriffic, except, from where I sit, it makes me realize how much I do not know, and how unskilled I am, relative to the ‘wonderful stuff’ you all have done. But I shall read learn, and try at what I can handle, just a novice, love wood, for makin stuff, burnin’, and now to use in Chip/Relief carving.
Appreciate the welcomes.
