Swinging Clamp Rack

Many of us are in limited sized shops/garages. Floor and wall space is a premium. My previous clamp rack outlived it’s usefulness and it was time for replacement. Scouring the web I came across many great space saving racks. I found this design (wish I could take credit) here and modified it to fit my space by increasing the size and using only one “gate”.

All of the materials are left over scraps. I did buy a roll of camper seal tape at Home Depot to be used as padding for the larger clamps. Thanks for viewing.

I made mine a few yrs back and love it… It needs a lttle TLC, I bought the metal clamp hagars from Rockler after I broke a few of the wood peices off. Enjoy.

Currently working on a tool storage cabinet. The plan is for a clamp rack on each side but I think I see one of these on each side instead.

Thanks for the idea.

I really like this rack. I have the metal hangers on a board mounted to the wall…but it seems to go on for ever since I keep adding different sizes of clamps. This unit seems to really same wall space. Even though my shop is pretty large (20X40) there is never enough floor space it seems. Thanks for sharing this with us.
