I was going thru my wood and found some small scraps of Teak. And I thought why not make a small Thorsen table. After all Karson said he wanted to see different types. This one is 10 inches tall and all teak. I can tell you its fun making small mortises (not). But the way I see it the more we try the more we learn and hone our skills in our craft. In the picture of the table standing its dry fitted and the shelf is just laying there. Not sure how I am going to attatch it yet. I will glue it up later today and apply a finish and post another pic later.

Have fun and work safe

John

this is really cool, John. Really cute. Love it.

Now where are you going to put this in your house?

Great Shack. Now we are on a roll. We may end up with 1000 Thorsen tables when we get done.

You’ve got a regular Thorsen production line going here. Very nice.
Thanks for sharing.

Nice John, or is it cute at that size? I don’t know. But it looks real to me. You can’t tell the size from the picture, don’t tell them. Say it’s full size. mike

Could you imagine that Karson, 1000 Thorsen tables from this challenge? Wow, wouldn’t that blow away the Popular Woodworking folks.

it sure is going to be busy around in the last couple weeks of May!!
I’d better get lots of sleep before then – I’ll have to be up all night checking out tables!

I’m thinking about putting a “mini” table in the bathroom to hold a couple rolls of TP. That should get visitors talking hehehe

Debbie: You could put a plant on top, a mini box of the shelf to hold the necessities, carved of course.

Great idea Scott. Make sure the Bonsai tree is there for the picture.
