After watching a Youtube video by Paul Sellers, I decided to try my hand at making a spatula based on his design. My brand new to me spokeshave was still a mystery to me so I attemted one out of a piece of scrap mahogany I had laying around. After a mildly successful attempt, I decided to make a set of utensils out of some sugar maple. Everything here has been shaped with a chisel and a spokeshave, no saws. I did however do a bit of shaping on my Shopsmith Mk V using the disc sander. The ’’Paul Sellers’’ spatula is the one in the middle.

Nice job! I finished the rough shaping of my spoon yesterday after watching the Paul Sellers video, hand tools only. You can learn a lot from making these.
