this was an old hangout for the black servants that weren’t allowed at the Mohonk Hotel back in the day, it was built by farmers and they did the best they could but it wasn’t a true circle and the floor was not properly supported also i think years of truly EXCELLENT parties took its toll. we built this 26’ jig and killed a brand new Porter Cable router on the second pass, i replaced it with a Fein plunge and that machine is still killing it today! we put in a 5/4 oak tread with mahogany splines. there was a bunch of prep and fill in work but it came out sweet!!! i have to get pics of the final finish but you get the idea.

I had glanced at your thread a couple of time and decided to see what you are doing. A stroke of genius in the router/radius setup! Are you going to post pix of the finished project? I hope so.

no it’s not at Mohonk, it’s down in Clove Valley and it is now a private home.
