“A man’s caliber is more important than his stature.” I’m still trying to catch up and complete all the carvings I started at the Renegade! This little guy was from Chris Hammack’s class. I believe I need more practice carving firearms! I knew it would give me trouble, but I like to pick rough outs that challenge me. Always something more to learn, I reckon. Chris did say that he goes more for humor than he does for realism, and it is a funny looking gun for sure! Chris is a good instructor and is always cracking jokes, so the class is a lot of fun. You can pick up a lot by listening and observing, even while he helps others. Thanks for looking!

really nice c arving, this reminds me of a john wayne movie, they had that double barrell , it was cut way back, small enough it could be carried in a holster…when john wayne fired it , it just about threw him back…lol…a good carving for sure…

Too cool. Wish I could do work like this.
The back pose with his bluejean rear sticking out of his chaps just made me giggle.
Great job.

Your characters are all so expressive. You’re a fine carver, mr. Mike
