Here is a great project for kids or grand kids. The material used is walnut, poplar, and oak. The bottom is lock jointed into all four sides. The sides are rabbited to the end caps and the handle is counterbored into the end caps. Tools featured: hammer, screwdriver, square and hand saw. The square and saw are fitted with a saddle joint. These toys are built to last. If anyone is interested, there is a full video build here.
