My brother in law dropped off a big chunk of yew wood and a branch from it as well. I turned this box from a chunk of the branch to see what it would look like and the results are quite impressive. Can’t wait to turn some bowls from the bigger stuff!

That is a great looking little box. I’ve got a chunk sitting on my bench that I’ve been meaning to turn into a little box like that, how is it to work with on the lathe? I made a bandsaw box with some of the other yew i have and it was pretty much a nightmare, yew is a strange wood.

Yew did a good job! Nice grain and finish.

Very pretty little bowl! Like those knot and swirls on wood and very nice shapes and finish. Great job!
