My daughter needed more pantry space in there lakefront cabin. So here was my solution, a knotty pine corner cupboard with 1/2” Baltic birch shelves all dadoed in place. The three back walls are cabinet grade 3/4 pine plywood. And the face frame a doors are glued up from the remnants of my T&G project where I built my shop walls and ceiling. The 45 degree corner on the front of the cupboard is secured by a full 7’ long spline on the face of the 22.5 degree mitres. The doors are hung on a set of Blum 170 degree soft close hinges and the finish is SW rubbing stain and two coats of SW precast laquer.

Beautiful, one very nice piece of furniture, sure to become a family heirloom. I’m sure your daughter is very happy with this. Great work.

Nicely done. Cool idea for her storage. I remember building a lot of knotty pine pieces in our old home. Brings back memories.
