Maple and red oak (which was stained with GF’s Java gel stain) with a spray on lacquer and paste wax finish.

Basically built this on the fly in twenty minute increments over a few weeks. No plans. When the table saw spit out weird grooves in the oak, I went with it, made it taper towards the back (and then adjusted the saw). I don’t like the movement, but it’s what I had lying around. Might try spraying it a pewter color or something.

Very nice, even better when it’s made from scraps.

Jeff. I love those things made from scrap. Eye pleasing contrast. I have a perfect place to display it along with all the other clocks I own. Great job sir.

It came out great looking. Like the contrasting woods and the clock face is cool. Great job!
