I used the pattern put out by Douglas Kremer…here is the link to his original project:

I resawed some 1/4 inch walnut and then sanded it down instead of using a planer. After that is pretty straightforward with the bandsaw, disc sander, and scroll saw. Cool project that functions very well. Great gift.

So cool bookmark, like the cross cut out and walnut. It will make a great gift indeed, great job!
