Step Stool

The step stool was made at Wahoo High School. I started with one long board and measured my dimensions and cut it. I then used a biscuit to adjoin two boards to make my top. For assembling I used pocket holes and glue to put everything together. Once it was assembled I used a water-based pecan color stain for my color coating. I then put 4 coat of water-based polyurethane to protect it from water damage.

Was there some kind of woodworking class on making step stools? The project page filled up with people making step stools. That cant be a coincidence.

Good job, I noticed all the stools and thought there was a contest or something, pretty neat you all doing a project in school and posting here, very cool and stick with it you will enjoy the art/science of woodworking for ever.

I like what you did! Good choice of stain tint. The top looks good and solid.
